"Truth Never Lies" is a deeply felt movie about the accidental death of a daughter, the complete emotional disconnect of the family she left behind and a complete stranger that shows up at their doorstep and exposes their wounds that the family prefers not to deal with. Everything seems so much at its proper place...except no one is dealing with the past. Aiken Weiss directs the feature with a European sensibility using visual

symbols of the emotional disconnect the family experiences and brings us to a very unexpected climax that left us audience lost for words. Nothing is as it seems at the beginning of the movie and there is a slow transformation of the characters triggered by the girl that shows up, seemingly with no connection to anyone and no memory at all. The acting of the cast is truthful in its disconnect that hides the pain and only slowly

begin to "defrost" and let the past in, confirming that memories define who we are. The story unfolds slowly but captivates the audience who want to find out what really happened and what is lying under the surface. "Truth Never Lies" reminds me of "Ordinary People" and it's certainly a movie that makes you think a long time after the screening.ʼ Aiken Weiss and Elke Weiss have proven that they are very talented film makers with deeply felt artistic sensibilities and a very exciting future . I can't wait to see their next feature film.”

Adriana Zapka, Lionsgate Entertainment

“A haunting and mind-opening tale of memories and their deceit, Truth Never Lies is both beautifully made and captivating to watch. A solid cast is professionally guided through a story that challenges our pretext of human connections and the meaning of family. The Weiss team does a fantastic first film that is both poignant and fascinating, all with a surprise ending! Truthfully.”

Stuart Lillith, Camera Operator

“I liked how quiet the movie was, even though there was a lot of emotion bottled up. I was compelled from the very beginning.”

Trudi Schlomowitz, Publisher

“I felt like washed ashore after watching this film. Fresh, new story-telling without the drama and over-exaggeration of current cinema. The music was simply breathtaking.“Truth Never Lies” helps us all peel back layers of self judgments, and take a look at ourselves in a way we would normally avoid; an uncomfortably good process.”

Kathleen Dayvolt, Colorsoul

“The cast does an amazing job of portraying the deeply felt, but tightly controlled, emotions of the characters. There's so much brewing just beneath the surface, and the actors masterfully let bits and pieces bubble up until they finally bring it to a boil.”

Stephen Turner, FOX International

“Truth Never Lies is a skillful telling of the complicated dynamics within the American modern family. Director Aiken Weiss’ poignant exploration of human perception will have you re-examining your own “white lies”.
